Once it downloads again click on it and follow the install instructions. This should look something like ‘Windows 10 RStudio 1.4.XXX’. base: Binaries of R builds for macOS 10.13 or higher (High Sierra), Intel build: contrib: Binaries of package builds for macOS 10. Download the most recent version of RStudio from here. Additional tools necessary for building R for Mac OS X: Universal GNU Fortran compiler for Mac OS X (see R for Mac tools page for details).This will be in the form of ‘Download R X.Y.Z for Windows’. Download the most recent version of R from here.These aren’t necessary for this course so you can ignore this. Note: When you first open RStudio a window might pop-up about installing RTools or Command Line Utilities.
Open RStudio to ensure that everything loads right.Once it downloads again click to load the drive and then drag the RStudio icon into your applications folder. Finally download the most recent version of RStudio from here.There should be a button that says “Download RStudio for Mac”.Once it has downloaded click on the file and follow the prompts to install it.Note: If you have a newer Mac with Apple silicon installed you might need to install the version below this with arm64 in the filename (if you aren’t certain, ignore this and if you have trouble talk to me) Click on Download R-3.5.1.pkg (or a newer version) or you use the following direct link: R-3.5.1.pkg. Download RStudio (Windows) Download RStudio (MAC). The instructions walk through how to do this and where to find everything. To download RStudio, click on the link that applies to your machine. In order to install RStudio you need to first install R.
